Sustainable Development in the Spotlight with the Participation of Colleagues

At our Group, the commitment to Sustainable Development is rooted at the very heart of our corporate culture, social role and corporate responsibility. We strongly believe that Sustainable Development is meaningful only if it is built on business ethics, social solidarity and respect for the environment.

Guided by the belief that our Group’s prosperity is inextricably linked with the prosperity of society and the planet, we have undertaken major initiatives reflecting our values and our expectations for a better future.

In this insert, we want to showcase and promote the voices of our colleagues, their own perspective, by asking them three simple questions. We hope to inspire more and more people about a better and more sustainable society.

With this in mind, today we are hosting our colleague Katerina Hasikou, who holds the position of Brand Manager.

1) What does Sustainability mean to you?

To me, sustainability means meeting my needs to the fullest, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Living sustainably means respecting the environment around you, without depriving anyone else of it.

2) What sustainable practices do you follow in your everyday life?

I consider recycling very important as well as the use of environmentally friendly products. For instance, instead of cotton pads, I use reusable cleansing pads to remove my makeup. Last but not least, whenever it’s possible, I choose to walk rather than drive.

3) What have you learned as a member of our Group about Sustainability?

The Group has increased my interest in various sustainability actions, proving to us that we can become an example of a small society which embraces sustainability in its everyday life.
