Successful Awareness Lecture by the PAPAELLINAS Group on Drug Prevention

The awareness lecture organized by the Papaellinas Group, in collaboration with the Latsia–Geri Municipality, on the prevention and protection of children and young people from drugs, was successfully held.

The event took place on March 31, 2026, at the Latsia Municipal Theatre, with the participation of Group employees, local community residents, and representatives of local authorities, including the Mayor, Deputy Mayors, and Municipal Council members. The strong turnout highlighted the community’s keen interest in awareness and prevention regarding this particularly important and timely issue.

The keynote speaker was Ms. Tina Pavlou, Clinical Director of Agia Skepi, who, through her scientific expertise and many years of experience, highlighted the modern risks associated with substance abuse, as well as the importance of early intervention, prevention, and the role of the family and society.

During the event, welcome addresses were delivered by the Chief Executive Officer of the PAPAELLINAS Group, Mr. Christos Papaellinas, and the Mayor of Latsia–Geri, Mr. Christos Pittaras, both of whom emphasized the importance of collective effort in addressing social challenges affecting the younger generation.

This initiative is part of the Group’s corporate responsibility activities. Recognizing that sustainable development is inextricably linked to the well-being of people and society, the Papaellinas Group continues to implement initiatives that promote awareness and prevention, making a meaningful contribution to addressing modern social challenges.
